Privacy policy

This policy describes comparetrailcameras.com, published by TrailRank.

What we collect

The site does not have accounts. If you email hello@comparetrailcameras.com, we receive whatever you put in that message and use it to reply. The host (Vercel) may keep standard request logs such as IP address, user agent, and the page requested.

Analytics

If a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID is configured, the site loads Google's tag and records page views. Clicks on Amazon links send an amazon_click event with the ASIN, the placement on the page, the path, the link, and the product name. That event uses beacon transport so it can leave with the click. If the measurement ID is not set, the tag is not loaded and the click handler does nothing. A non-Amazon affiliate link, if we ever add one, would send affiliate_click instead.

Amazon

When you follow a product link, you leave TrailRank and Amazon's own policy applies. Amazon may set cookies and may tell us that a qualifying purchase happened. We do not receive your Amazon password, your full card number, or your address.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not run a data broker business. Processors are the host and, when enabled, Google Analytics.

Children

The site is written for adults buying outdoor equipment. It is not directed at children.
