Check price on AmazonUseful when you need to swing a lens from the app. It is not the camera we would hang on a deer trail first. The verified listing is a 2-pack, auto-tracking is absent, and a data plan is mandatory after the trial data.
Best for: Watching a field, gate, or barn live from a phone, if a 2-pack and a data plan are acceptable.
What holds up
- Live 2K view with manual pan and tilt from the phone
- Solar panel and a fast advertised PIR trigger

What does not
- This ASIN is a 2-pack. Single listings we checked were unavailable.
- The maker says it does not auto-track. You steer it.

- Low-glow night range is a shorter claim than the no-glow card cameras

Who the TC18 is for
The Oculview TC18 4G is a live-view camera, not a top trail camera. You buy it when you want to open an app and look around a field, a gate, a barn lot, or a food plot, and you are willing to steer the lens yourself. You do not buy it as the default deer-trail still camera. The Tactacam REVEAL X 3.0, the Moultrie Edge 3, and the GardePro A3 are ahead of it for that job.
The ASIN we could verify in stock on November 4, 2026 is B0HDTGSR49. It is the camouflage 2-pack of the TC18. The listing showed 4.1 from 387 ratings. Single-camera Oculview listings we opened the same day were unavailable. If you only want one camera, confirm the offer you are buying is actually one camera. This page is about the 2-pack that was live.
What it does, according to the listing and the Q&A
It is a 4G camera with a built-in SIM, a solar panel, 2K live view, and a PIR trigger advertised at 0.2 seconds. The lens pans on the order of 350 degrees and tilts about 100 degrees. You move it from the phone, with a digital zoom. Night vision is 850nm low-glow, claimed to about 65 feet, with a spotlight you can turn on when you want color and you are willing to announce the camera. The case is IP65. Video can sit on a microSD card up to 128 GB, not included, or on a paid cloud plan.
The important Q&A answer: it does not auto-track. It records when motion trips the PIR. If you want the lens to follow a moving animal, you do it by hand. A different brand's newer listing may advertise human auto-tracking. We are not going to recommend a camera on a nine-review sample because a bullet point sounds better. The TC18's own maker says manual.
The SIM cannot be replaced, and the same Q&A says the camera is for the United States. The product text names major U.S. carriers and specifically writes AT&T and T-Mobile. Do not assume a removable SIM will save you on a carrier the camera never finds. Ask the question against your pin before you own two of them.
A data plan is required after the trial data. The listing describes monthly and annual options, per camera. A 2-pack is two plans if both cameras stay online. Cloud storage is a further subscription if you want it. The card is the cheaper memory. None of those fees are optional if you want the live view to keep working. We are not printing the dollar amounts. Read them in the app, because they move.
Why the score is a 7.2
Three hundred eighty-seven ratings at 4.1 is a legitimate record. It is also a mixed record: a majority of high scores and a visible unhappy tail. Live-view cameras collect a specific kind of complaint. The app session drops. The solar panel does not keep up if the camera is under a spruce and you watch live video for fun. The trial data ends and the camera looks "broken." Those are ownership costs, not mysteries.
The score sits below the still cameras because the job is narrower and the buy is clumsier. You are purchasing two solar pan-tilt cameras to solve a viewing problem that one well-aimed still camera often solves more quietly. Low-glow at 65 feet will not out-see a no-glow card camera hung properly at 15 yards, and the red glow is more visible to animals.
How to use it without hating it
Put each camera where the solar panel sees sky for part of the day. A north wall under a porch is a battery complaint waiting to happen. Point the PIR at the area you care about, then use pan and tilt to inspect, not as a substitute for a bad mount. Expect motion clips, not a 24-hour recording. The maker says it does not record continuously.
Use it for a gate, a calving lot, a remote shed, or a plot you want to glass at lunch. Use a still camera on the actual deer trail. Mixing those jobs is how people decide "trail cameras don't work."
If the 2-pack is more hardware than you need, do not force it. The SPYPOINT FLEX-M and the Tactacam REVEAL X 3.0 are single cameras with a clearer scouting job. Check this ASIN only if live pan-tilt is the feature you came for.
Questions we hear on this
Will it follow a deer on its own?
Oculview's own Q&A says no. It records when the PIR trips, and you pan or tilt by hand in the app. Do not buy it for automatic subject tracking.
Can I use my own SIM card?
No. The SIM is built in and the listing says it cannot be changed. The same answer says the camera is for use inside the United States.
Why is a 4.1-star camera not a top pick?
Live view solves a different job than a deer-trail still camera, and this buy is two cameras plus two plans. For photos of a trail, the Tactacam, Moultrie, SPYPOINT, and GardePro are the stronger evidence.
